Core Concepts

Understanding these core concepts will help you get the most out of AdFlow and create effective video content for your business.

Content Items

A content item is the foundation of video generation in AdFlow. Each content item represents a single piece of content you want to create videos for.

Content Item Components

Image
The primary visual element. This image will be animated and displayed throughout the video. For best results, use high-resolution images (1080x1920 or higher for vertical video).
Title
A brief, descriptive name for the content. Used in the dashboard for organization and may be included in the video as text overlay.
Description
Detailed information about the content. This is the primary input for AI script generation. Include key features, benefits, and selling points.
Price
Optional. If provided, can be displayed in the video. Useful for e-commerce content where price is a key selling point.
External ID
Optional. Used for syncing with external systems (e-commerce platforms, CMS, etc.). Helps prevent duplicate imports.

Best Practice: Quality Descriptions

The description is the most important field for video quality. Write it as if you were describing the content to a customer. Include: what it is, key features, why someone would want it, and any relevant details (materials, size, use cases).

Videos

A video is the output of the generation process. Each video is created from a content item and includes AI-generated elements.

Video Components

Visual Layer
Your content image with AI-generated motion effects. The motion is subtle and professional, adding visual interest without being distracting.
Audio Layer
AI-generated voiceover narration based on your content description. Optional background music may be included depending on your settings.
Branding Layer
Your logo, intro/outro text, and contact information overlaid on the video according to your brand settings.
Text Overlays
Optional text elements like the title, price, or call-to-action displayed at key moments in the video.

Video States

Pending

Job is queued and waiting to start processing

Processing

Video is being generated (typically 2-5 minutes)

Completed

Video is ready for download or sharing

Failed

Generation encountered an error (can be retried)

Generation Pipeline

Understanding the generation pipeline helps you optimize your content for the best results.

1

Script Generation

Our AI analyzes your title and description to create a natural, engaging voiceover script. The script is optimized for the target video length (typically 15-30 seconds).

2

Voice Synthesis

The script is converted to speech using your selected AI voice. The output is natural-sounding speech with appropriate pacing and intonation.

3

Motion Generation

Our AI motion engine creates subtle motion effects for your static image. This adds professional-quality animation that brings the image to life without distorting it.

4

Video Composition

All elements are combined into the final video: motion footage, voiceover audio, branding elements, and text overlays. Output is optimized for social media platforms.

Organizations

Every AdFlow account belongs to an organization. Organizations are the container for all your settings, content, and videos.

Organization Settings

Brand Settings: Logo, intro/outro text, contact information
Voice Settings: Default AI voice for video narrations
Content Source: How content is added (manual, website sync, API)
Social Connections: Linked social media accounts for posting
Subscription: Your plan, usage limits, and billing information

Credits and Usage

Video generation consumes resources from multiple AI services. AdFlow uses a credit system to track usage.

Understanding Credits

Each video generation consumes approximately 1 credit. Your subscription plan determines how many credits you receive per billing period.

  • Credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle
  • Unused credits do not roll over to the next period
  • Failed generations do not consume credits (they are refunded)

View your current usage in Settings → Billing. You'll see remaining credits, usage history, and can upgrade your plan if needed.
